Oregon ranked fifth in the nation for the creation of clean-energy jobs

Oregon's clean-energy job growth recognized
Aug. 29, 2013 - Oregon ranked fifth in the nation for the creation of clean-energy jobs last quarter, according to the nonpartisan business group Environmental Entrepreneurs.

The group released its quarterly report highlighting clean energy job creation Wednesday.

Oregon has projects in progress that will provide 3,067 clean-energy jobs, according to the report.

Most recently, Portland General Electric announced a 116-turbine wind farm that will create 318 jobs.
