Students lead renewable energy project

Wind/solar power project at Taylor HS goes live
October 8, 2013 - Austin already boasts one of the highest rates of solar panel ownership in the country. And Tuesday morning, Taylor High School became a member of that group in an effort that was led by the students themselves.

"Wow! We got that here!," Jonathan Rose, a volunteer engineering mentor on the project proclaimed at today's ceremony. "And there's more up there on the roof too!"

After months of planning and installation, students and mentors cut the ribbon on a brand-new, fully-functional solar and wind power installation. read more>>>
