Forum: Increased solar production and efficiency could threaten NC utility model
Oct 15, 2013 - Utilities must prepare for the disruption solar energy and other technologies will create in their business model or face being passed by like traditional phone companies after the cellphone gained popularity, warned Paul Kind of Energy Infrastructure Advocates at a forum Monday. The event was sponsored by the N.C. Solar Center in Raleigh.
The center organized the forum as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. Kind noted the landmark in his presentation, complimenting North Carolina on establishing the center at N.C. State University years before many in the nation saw the potential of solar power. read more>>>
