June 24, 2013 - A single advanced building control currently in development could prove extremely attractive to facility owners seeking to curb their energy consumption costs.

Capable of customizing the level of ventilation by sensing the number of people in a building zone and adjusting fan speed and air movement accordingly, the technology could cut the average large office building's annual energy bill by 18 percent, without sacrificing occupant comfort, according to researchers developing the technology at the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). read more>>>
