What: The largest climate rally in U.S. history.
Where: The National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Followed by a march to The White House
Gather at the northeast corner of the Washington Monument
(Closest Metro subway stations: Federal Triangle and Smithsonian)
When: February 17, 2013, Noon - 4:00 p.m. (arrival is suggested by 11:30 a.m.)
Why: Climate change threatens everyone’s health and safety. But people of color and low-income communities are hit first and worst. We need to act on climate NOW by investing in clean energy, infrastructure and resilience measures that will cut pollution and help communities survive the effects of climate change. If we do, we can fight poverty and create jobs for the folks who are on the front lines of climate change.
