Former Vice President Al Gore and International Co-Director of President Barak Obama’s re-election campaign Juan Verde, have been announced as the two key note speakers for Gibraltar’s upcoming Thinking Green conference this October 21.
The announcement was made by Dr John Cortes, Minister for the Environment, on Thursday evening at a press conference in John Mackintosh Hall.
Thinking Green is a joint Government department project between the Ministry forEnvironment and Culture, with Yvette Zarb and Seamus Byrne from the Ministry for Culture working with Richard Montado and Dr Liesl Torres from the Ministry for Environment.
snip {Gore}: His presentation will be, ‘Thinking Green: Economic Strategy for the 21st Century’. Arguing that the physical changes in our planet influence our global economy, Vice President Gore will encourage the audience to consider broader issues environmental, social and political when setting business strategies.
snip {Juan Verde}: His presentation will be about the policies of the Obama administration on renewable energy and explain how the US elections will affect the European economy. read more>>>
