Dubai Green Economy Partnership

Dubai Green Economy partnership unveiled
7 May 2012 - Hamdan bin Mohammed unveils Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has instructed stakeholders to do their best to maintain Dubai’s status in the list of countries that stimulate sustainable green growth and harness Dubai’s strategic location as a prominent regional and international hub for emerging markets, finance and trade to apply and deploy green and clean technologies in a broader way.

Shaikh Hamdan gave his instructions after he unveiled the ‘Dubai Green Economy Partnership” programme which seeks to spur sustainable and green growth of Dubai economy and promotes its position in global green economy value chain for green and clean technologies and sustainable consumption.

Shaikh Hamdan asserted that the new programme is in harmony with Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 and the UAE Green Economy strategy launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, under the theme “Green Economy for Sustainable Development” in last January.

“The new initiative will prod sustainable development in the UAE and elevate public-private sector partnership to new heights of creative collaboration,” Shaikh Hamdan added. read more>>>
