April 27, 2012 - Environmental entrepreneurialism can play a key role in reinventing Michigan’s economy, a state leader told the 2012 Detroit Free Press Michigan Green Leaders awards breakfast this morning.
In his keynote address to more than 300 winners and guests at the MGM Grand, Michael Finney, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., celebrated Michigan’s heritage of productivity and said it applied to making Michigan a leader in the environmental movement.
"We make things," Finney said at the awards breakfast. "It doesn’t necessarily have to be a car… It can be a windmill. It can be a solar panel. It can be anything that’s made, and that’s what makes Michigan special. We have it in our DNA....We simply have to figure out how to become that again." read more>>>
