U.S. Wind investments way up, But

Still not enough private capital being invested, while public investment is blocked in congress and states, in growth in alternatives here, what the free market capitalist ideology was supposed to do these past decades is still not doing, forty some years after the alternative energy industry was stopped from advancing here.

March 6, 2012 - Investments in wind energy installations will total approximately $145 billion in North America by 2017, surpassing 125 GW, according to Pike Research.

On-shore installations will account for more than 97 percent of investments. Although the total U.S. investment is still well behind Europe and Asia, the investments are being driven by falling costs, industry consolidation and larger, more efficient turbines.

"Recovery is gradually taking hold across the wind industry in North America, and many key industry players are optimistic about the North American market as turbine costs continue to drop dramatically," said Research Analyst Dexter Gauntlett. read more>>>. {With two related article links at bottom}
