Gaithersburg is getting three new green projects.
Ground was broken last week on two buildings and a solar energy installation at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
The Net-Zero Energy Residential Test Facility is designed to produce as much energy as it consumes.
The building is designed to resemble a typical suburban home and will serve as a test-bed for new home-scale energy technologies. {continued}
