This 'sparring', by the detractors of climate change, one of many benefits to alternatives, isn't even about that reality. It's all about blocking what this Country was once known for and about up until some thirty years back, advancing and leading the World. ^They have found and twisted the oft used label 'global warming' to fight to keep their failed economic ideals intact maintaining the huge wealth growth at the top with little capitalistic sharing for the labors that make that wealth!
Mar 28, 2011 - Sparring over U.S. climate policy has taken a graphic turn. Too graphic? The American Lung Association has placed billboards showing a child in an oxygen mask in the Michigan district of Rep. Fred Upton, a GOP House leader critical of President Obama's climate agenda.
The billboard reflects the increasing degree to which health groups are casting climate change and other environmental concerns as health issues. It's also reminiscent of in-your-face, anti-smoking ads used by health groups against tobacco companies.
"Protect our kids' health. Don't weaken the Clean Air Act," the billboard says in an appeal to Upton, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. {continued}
