LEED Opens Public Comment on Changes to Standards


The public has until December 31 to comment on changes to several areas of LEED standards

9 November 2010 - Want to share your thoughts about the proposed changes to LEED? Perhaps offer suggestions about what works and what doesn’t? You have until December 31, 2010 to speak your mind, at least in the first round of public comment. The US Green Building Council (USGBC) has opened the public comment window for industry professionals and the general public to comment on proposed updates to the current system.

The USGBC seeks to improve the LEED standards and codes to meet current and future changes to innovation in the market since the standards were introduced a decade ago. As a result, the organization revises the standards often to reflect the continual changes in the market and available technology. {read rest}
