Green Stimulus Funds

Investments now, should have started long ago, will not only save on the rising costs being paid presently but these investments will have long term savings lowering once needed budgeted tax funds, while creating well paying jobs, thus saving everyone's tax burden, while giving the much needed advances of cleaning the atmosphere and much more!

Triad to share in $4.5M of green stimulus funds



October 28, 2010 - Thirty-four local governments, community colleges and school districts in the state, including several in the Triad, will receive a total of $4.5 million to reduce fuel and utility bills and create jobs through a new wave of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants funded by the federal stimulus law.

The grants will be used to upgrade heat pumps, install energy efficient lighting and solar water heating, and upgrade heating and cooling systems, according to an announcement form the office of Sen. Kay Hagan. {read rest}
