We should never have allowed the manufacturing skills we perfected dissolve here and push them overseas, those with now are leading as we fall rapidly, they don't create cheaper products here they just greatly enhance bottom lines that under the con sold some thirty years ago, along with huge tax cuts and loopholes, were promised to be reinvested here to create economic growth and almost full employment!
7/14/2011 - Obama's got a plan, and it's no longer healthcare reform. The new buzz word: more manufacturing jobs.If I could see the collapse coming being a multi-skilled tradesman in the construction industry and living through the reagan recession, which collapsed the construction industry and more, then others outside of the banking industry, wall street and credit industry constant change games and inventive investing must have seen something coming, didn't know it would be this bad though, that reagan recession was long enough and bad enough to live through.
His focus: swing states, robots, and high-tech green manufacturing. His purpose: Well, re-election come to mind, but there's a notable element of the president just doing his job to invest in the country's future and keep his people employed.
Obama knows this plan will take time to bloom to fruition. "the problems plaguing the economy didn’t happen overnight, and won’t be solved overnight. “But we will solve them,” he says, pointing to the innovators and entrepreneurs building a new clean energy economy, and asking the voters to give him more time."
This opens the path to well paid jobs in skilled labor, (as well as unskilled labor to keep it running). This is also leads to suggestions for reform in our educational system that push students towards the pursuit of math and science related fields.Under the so called free market capitalism the top is supposed to be investing into the economy, our economy, not building job growth overseas which started as soon as they move the whole system in that direction. They keep using 'tax breaks create jobs', they do, everywhere else but here, as everything collapsed!
So, will the future be more futuristic, filled with robots and green industry? Given the possibility, we decided to take a look at some of the American manufacturing companies that would benefit.
