April 28, 2011 - The Malaysia-Europe Forum (MEF), in partnership with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, will be hosting the MEF-Vienna Spring Dialogue 2011 in Vienna on May 9.

The dialogue will focus on issues relating to green technology and green business with the theme "Malaysia: Your Green Economy Hub in Asean".

MEF advisor and patron Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz said 15 Malaysian companies would be participating in the dialogue, and business-to-business meetings had been arranged for them to meet with their Austrian counterparts.

"We hope the dialogue will provide a platform for the Malaysian companies to get the latest updates on the European Union rules and regulations on green technology as well as for the Europeans to know about initiatives the Malaysian government has taken on green technology," she told reporters here Thursday.

She said Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui would deliver a keynote address at the dialogue and would engage in open discussions with the participants.

The dialogue will also see the participation of other prominent speakers such as Malaysian Green Technology Corporation chief executive officer Dr Nazily Mohd Noor, Malaysian Investment Development Authority director-general Datuk Jalilah Baba, Sarawak Corridor on Renewable Energy chief executive officer Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot and Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre of Arbitration director Sundra Rajoo. {continued}
